Large enclosed indoor play structure and toddler play area, restrooms,
water fountains. Sign-in required.
ART GALLERIES/STUDIOS
The Little Art Gallery
The Little Art Gallery promotes cultural enrichment by providing an artistic
environment, growth opportunities and educational resources for artists,
craftsmen, students of all ages and the public in general. Located in the
south wing of the North Canton Public Library, The Little Art Gallery offers
new exhibits featuring area artists every four to six weeks.
Joseph Saxton Gallery of Photography
The Saxton Gallery features historic and contemporary photography.
Besides exhibits, the gallery boasts a portrait studio, research library,
bookstore, studio space and more. There are collector's, photographer's
and community services, and the gallery is part of First Friday, and hosts
movie nights and Fine Wine Wednesdays.
MUSEUMS
Haas Museum
Minerva, OH
Built in 1928 as the Minerva Bank & Trust. In the late 1970's Arthur and
Odessa Haas bought the building and gave it to the Minerva Area Historical
Society to house the many historic artifacts. [map]
Lake Township Historical Society
Uniontown, OH
Restored one-room schoolhouse, Lake Center #12. Browse the photos,
school desks and books related to schooling of the past. [map]
Massillon Museum (Mass Mu)
Massillon, OH
A visit to the Massillon Museum is free; donations are welcome. The
Museum offers changing exhibitions in the main (first-floor) gallery,
sometimes featuring art, sometimes history. Second-floor permanent
collection history galleries offer a spectrum of rotating exhibits, which always
include photography, sports, industry, The Immel Circus, and more. Studio
M in the lower level features solo or group art shows except during the
summer months. NOTE: Nothing on display in the main gallery October 5 -
December 31, 2009, due to scheduled museum renovations. [map]
